Prop of the Class

The Science Fair is coming up, and Dot is determined to show up those terrible jocks from the Track Team for once. Help her test her experimental new Self-Powered Cycle-o-Matic Personal Propter Copter by FLOATing it through 60 tricky test tracks of terror!

This is a game for the Playdate console.

Controls

Rotate the Crank forward to build up speed. Press down on the dpad to switch between Up and Side gears.

Press A+B at the same time to skip cutscenes.

Menus are controlled with dpad and buttons.

About

This is my submission for the Uncrank'd Game Jam, which is to say it was made in a week (if admittedly one with a lot of crunch and not a lot of sleep).

The game is reusing a generic cutscene/visual novel object I wrote (it was also used in Super High School Danger Course, which if you haven't played already, may explain a few things about this).

There's three or four MIDI tracks reused from Danger Course and a few art assets reused from the cutscenes in here as well. Explosion reused from Escapepion. Fonts are reused from other projects and the initial title screen and name entry screens where pretty much lifted wholesale (code-wise, anyway) from there.
